Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney was born in Liverpool in 1942 and was the Beatles’ bassist, singer and, with John Lennon, main songwriter until the band split in 1970. He formed Wings in 1971 before returning to a solo career, and is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with the Beatles and on his own. His 20th solo album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, co-produced with Andrew Watt, went to No. 1 in the UK in 2026.
