The Dap-Kings
The Dap-Kings formed the house band of Daptone Records in Brooklyn and backed the soul singer Sharon Jones, billed as Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, until her death in 2016. Their players also recorded with Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse. The horn section, Dave Guy, Neal Sugarman and Cochemea Gastelum, plays on Kesha’s “Woman” (2017).
