veiila

veiila are a duo, the singer vif nüte and bes eirid, formed in Saint Petersburg in 2014. When Russia invaded Ukraine, they left their homes rather than support the war, and they describe themselves, after Kurt Vonnegut, as a band without a country; MusicBrainz now lists them in Armenia. Their studio albums are The Nation of One (2020) and Sentimental Craving for Beauty (2023), and a third is due in January 2027.
