The Weeknd

The Weeknd is the stage name of Abel Tesfaye, a singer and songwriter from Toronto, born in 1990. He began releasing songs online anonymously, and his three mixtapes of 2011 were collected as Trilogy in 2012; his albums since run from Kiss Land (2013) through Beauty Behind the Madness (2015), Starboy (2016), After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022) to Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025). In 2023 he said he wanted to close the Weeknd chapter eventually, and in 2025 he described Hurry Up Tomorrow as the end of it, but he was still touring and releasing new songs as the Weeknd in late 2026.

The Weeknd My Dear Melancholy,

The Weeknd scrapped a finished album and made these six songs in about three weeks. The guest producers bring the ideas; the songs mostly replay his past.
