The Violet Lights

The Violet Lights are a rock duo of Joel Nass and Amber Garvey, who moved from Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Los Angeles in 2008 and formed the band there within a year. Their self-produced debut EP, Sex & Sound (2011), was recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, and they toured North America behind it through 2012. After years away from music they released Old Goodies, five songs from those tours, in 2024.

The Violet Lights “Sex & Sound”

Two Green Bay transplants cut their first EP at Sunset Sound, gave the title track away and spent 2012 in a minivan, playing more than 100 shows.
