Pinback

Pinback is an indie rock band from San Diego, formed in 1998 by Rob Crow and Zach Smith, who have been its two constant members, usually with Chris Prescott on drums. The name comes from Sgt. Pinback, a character in the 1974 film Dark Star. Their five studio albums run from Pinback (1999) to Information Retrieved (2012), and the band was still playing live in 2026.
