Black Marble

Black Marble is the synth project of Chris Stewart, started in Brooklyn and in its early years shared with Ty Kube. After the Weight Against the Door EP and the album A Different Arrangement, both on Hardly Art in 2012, Stewart made It’s Immaterial (2016, Ghostly International) on his own and moved to Los Angeles. The project has been on Sacred Bones since Bigger Than Life (2019), followed by Fast Idol (2021) and Life in Small Spaces (August 2026).
