A Silent Film

A Silent Film were an alternative rock band from Oxford, formed in 2005 and led by the singer and pianist Robert Stevenson. Their debut, The City That Sleeps (2008), and its single “You Will Leave a Mark” found an audience in the United States, and the band moved to Phoenix before producing Sand & Snow (2012) themselves. After a self-titled album in 2015, Stevenson and the drummer Spencer Walker put the band on an indefinite break in 2018.

A Silent Film Sand & Snow

After a year on the road in America, Oxford's A Silent Film moved to Arizona and produced their second album themselves: earnest, anthemic and built for a crowd.
