If you’re looking for a pop high, we’ve got your fix courtesy of the Chicago based alt-pop songwriting duo Like Language. The duo consists of Matthew Murray and Kristen Donnelly. After writing and playing music since his late teens, Matt connected with Kristen, a high school choir director. Both from the same hometown, Matt and Kristen grew up together and began writing two years ago. The mix of her formal and his informal music experience led to a unique songwriting style and partnership. Since forming Like Language, they have worked with producer Marc McClusky on their debut EP Keep You Here. They are currently in the studio working on a second release featuring the single “Like A Drug”. Today, you can hear the new song and get all kinds of excited. Listen to it below.
