Los Angeles trio Pure Mids is a new band you’ll want to have on your radar. Consisting of Will Gonzalez (Vocals/Bass), Steven Martinez (Guitar), and Daniel Jurado (Drums), the group will release their 8-song debut EP, Optimistic-ism next year off of the Dreamtime Palace imprint label. The new EP centers on themes of self-reflection, uncertainty, and optimism with a dreamlike, neo-psych upbeat sound. Today, we premiere the band’s new song, “Maybe It’s Alright”. It’s a shimmery new song that sounds like a blend of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Tame Impala. Check it out.
Pure Mids on the song:
“Maybe It’s Alright” is a song about times of confusion and the struggle people eventually face. And rather than looking at these times as a trap and trying to find quick solutions and distractions, in the end maybe these are challenges we must endure in order for us to advance to the next stage of our lives.
The band will be announcing their first west coast tour early next year, and hitting the road by Spring of 2018.
