Phoebe Bridgers – “Smoke Signals”

PHOEBE BRIDGERS

credit: Frank Ockenfels

Certainly a name that you’ll want to remember this year is LA-based singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers. This Friday she’ll release the new single, “Smoke Signals”, paired with B-side “Motion Sickness (demo)”. “Smoke Signals” features lyrical references to Thoreau, The Smiths, Bowie, Motörhead, and Holiday Inn and promises to haunt you but in a way that you won’t mind. “Smoke Signals” is the first taste of Bridgers’ forthcoming debut LP, which will arrive later this year. You’re going to awaiting news of that album’s release once you hear this song. I promise you that. Check out “Smoke Signals” for yourself below.
