A Place To Bury Strangers have released the second single from their upcoming album, Worship, that drops June 26th (June 11th UK) via Dead Oceans. The new single, “And I’m Up”, could be the most pop-oriented song that APTBS have done to date. Singer Oliver Ackermann says that “And I’m Up” has “that classic 50′s vibe our parents grew up loving oh so much and then cramming down our throats through subliminal early life listening.” Listen to A Place To Bury Stranger’s “And I’m Up” below.
The heavy back beat of “And I’m Up” comes courtesy of APTBS friend, Cyrus Lubin, drummer for the Immaculates and head of Famous Class Records. Ackermann’s vocals are grim as ever, “Either way I choose the choice is wrong / so I’ll choose wrong / always choose wrong.“
