Download: Now, Now - "Dead Oaks" and "School Friends"

On March 6th, Trans-Records will release Now, Now's sophomore album Threads. The new album was produced by Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, New Pornographers) and is likely to meet your indie twee-pop needs. Now, Now consists of members Cacie Dalager (vocals, guitar), Jess Abbott (vocals, guitar) and Brad Hale (drums, synth). While the band hadn't released a full-lenth since 2009's Cars, the group was eager to make a good impression on Trans-Records founder and Death Cab For Cutie guitarist/producer Chris Walla, who was a fan of the band. Decide whether or not the band did a good job with the first set of downloadable tracks "Dead Oaks" and "School Friends" below.

"We killed ourselves over Threads," notes Dalager. "That sounds dramatic, but everything about it was excruciating in a good way. Every little idea was worked to its best."

"In working with Chris and his label," explains Abbott, "we've been given a lot of freedom to make sure we're happy with the music."
