Score John Parish’s latest composition “LBS End Titles”.
“John taught me everything about playing guitar,” says PJ Harvey. Now that’s some mighty praise. John Parish will release his new album, Screenplay, a new collection of music for films. In the past, John has done production work for Sparklehorse, Eels, Giant Sand, Tracy Chapman, and many others. Parish has revealed the album track, “LBS End Titles”, that is warm, mysterious and always engaging. The song is taken from Patrice Toye’s Little Black Spiders. Download it below.
Screenplay arrives April 16th via Thrill Jockey Records.
John Parish on soundtracks:
“Growing up, film soundtracks had provided some of my favourite pieces of music – Morricone, John Barry of course, but also Wim Mertens, early John Carpenter, Nino Rota, many others. I could tell that all these influences were buried in my own music, which I thought of as filmic long before I’d ever scored a movie”.
