Starred have revealed an ode to Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three.
In their new video for “Mayday”, Starred used footage of Damien Echols on death row. The video was directed by Aaron Brown of Focus Creeps. In case you never heard the story of the West Memphis Three, a group of teenagers allegedly killed three children in a Satanic ritual and Echols spent 18 years on death row before new DNA evidence emerged and he was released in 2011.
“Mayday” appears on a double 7″ releasing through Pendu Sound on Record Store Day, April 20th. Two other unreleased songs will be included with “Mayday” and “No Good” (previously available as a stream).
