Thee Oh Sees Reveal First Floating Coffin Single

Thee Oh Sees Floating Coffin

Thee Oh Sees tame the “Minotaur”.

Some bands just can’t take a break. After releasing Putrifiers II last year, and earning a spot in our 100 Best Albums of 2012, Thee Oh Sees are riding the momentum to releasing another new album, Floating Coffin. Castle Face Records will release it on April 16th. The band has dropped the album’s first single. Download “Minotaur” below.

Much like Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees frontman John Dwyer never takes a moment to rest. Instead he remains enthralled in his music — growing and perfecting his band’s woozy psych rock.

“These songs occur in the mindset of a world that’s perpetually war-ridden,” Dwyer explains. “Overall, it’s pretty dark, and much heavier than our other albums.”

“Minotaur” is “relatively less ominous,” Dwyer explains. “It’s about dream-hunting – being the person you feel you were meant to be.”
