Mozart’s Sister releases a song about herself.
Solo artist Caila Thompson-Hannant is the person behind the new project Mozart’s Sister. The Montreal native possesses a soulful voice that she layers over tricked out synthesizer soundscapes. She introduced herself to audiences at 2012’s CMJ Festival in New York, where her vulnerable performance caused many listeners to fall in love. She’s referred to her style in the past as “bedroom paranoia” on Dear Fear, her self-recorded and self-released debut EP of 2011. Now the singer will release a new EP, Hello, on February 26th through Merok Records. Listen to her self-titled song below.
