Indie band Feldspar are set to release the second half to their EP, The Flat And Paper Sky. On December 3rd, Volume II officially arrives. This set features four new songs, progressing the band’s sound by adding grit and caustic wit to their polished alt-folk sound. To promote the release of their second EP and launch on December 4th at The Bull and Gate in London, the band are releasing a double A split single with support act Killing Fields of Ontario. Listen to the split single after the jump.
Lyricist and Feldspar front-man Will Green said the following about the new EP: “The Flat and Paper Sky takes its name from a book of poetry by Edith Sitwell called Façade. The themes in Façade – writing and memory; light and darkness; the influence of the past on the preset; the power of lust; the corruption of society – are the same themes we address in this EP. The emergence of artists like Villagers, Arcade Fire, Kill It Kid, and Sharon Van Etten who are prepared to deal with subjects beyond love and heartache is really exciting.”
Feldspar are: Will Green (guitar and lead vocals); Ben Lloyd Evans (Keys and backing); Jonny Burgess (drums); James Forster (electric guitar); and John Davies.
