Daydream Vacation, the duo of Asya (of Smoosh) on vocals, with Dave (of Head Like A Kite), have released the single, “The Mirage”. The song appears on the duo‘s recently released album, Dare Seize The Fire. The album dropped back in June. Dare Seize The Fire is the debut album from Daydream Vacation and was recorded in both Sweden and Seattle. Rooted in the electro-pop genre of indie duos, the album mixes guitars, synthesizers, dance beats, and anthem heavy choruses. Listen to the song, “The Mirage”, after the jump.

“We wanted it to sound live, so we used all live instruments and then cut them up and sampled them,” says Dave. “I approached it like a DJ except, rather than sampling other people’s beats, I created loops of us playing the live instruments. We invited several friends to join the party on drums, trumpet, sax, and gang vocals.”
