We honestly have no idea how best to describe the music of Cory Branan. He seems to fit evenly in just about every category of Americana there is. There is one thing we know for sure, if you like any of them, Branan will be for you.

Berlin-based songwriter Masha Qrella has ended her silence following her last album release in 2005. Already she has released a new single, "Crooked Dreams", and now she has dropped a new video for "Take Me Out". Video: Permanent Collection - "It's Alright"
Permanent Collection started out as a post-Young Prisms solo project for Jason Hendardy, but the band has since grown into a well-rounded shoegaze band after adding members Megan Dabkowski (bass), Brenden Nerfa (guitar) and Mike Stillman (drums). The band released a debut EP, Delirium, last summer, and they're following it with a new full-length, Newly Wed Nearly Dead, out August 7th on Loglady Records. We previously shared a download of the Newly Wed Nearly Dead single, "It's Alright", but now Permanent Collection have released a video for the single. In the video, the band takes an old Chevy for a nighttime drive with all kinds of hijinks taking place. Watch Permanent Collection's video for "It's Alright" below.
ShadowBox - "Running Like A Ghost"
ShadowBox is the moniker of vocalist, instrumentalist, and producer Bonnie Baxter, who started her journey into music as a young girl. "When I was 13 I used to record singing my own words over R&B instrumental tapes or whatever I could get my hands on. Later I got my hands on a right handed acoustic guitar even though I was lefty. So I turned it upside down and taught myself how to play it so I can sing over it." Now the talented musician is set to release the Haunted by Colors EP through UK based label Pictures Music on July 24th. On the new EP, Baxter drops her gorgeous vocals over electronic driven beats that recall the likes of Tangerine Dream. Download a Haunted by Colors' single, "Running Like A Ghost", below.
